Introducing RVTD’s new employer bus pass program, the U-Pass. By providing transit options to your employees, your business will be rewarded by a reduction in parking requirements, a healthier staff, and by improved employee and community relations.
- The U-Pass - Purchase an annual bus pass for your employees. With the U-Pass, the monthly price of bus fare is $5.50 per participant for companies committing to buy the pass for all of their employees. A second option allows employers to choose, at their discretion, the number of passes to purchase. For these employers, the U-Pass is available at a slightly higher rate per-participant. - CMAQ Subsidy - For employers new to RVTD’s bus pass programs, we are pleased to offer a Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Incentive. The CMAQ grant will subsidize 66% of the price of group bus fare for the U-Pass Program. But be aware that this subsidy is available for a limited time only, and is being offered on a first-come first-served basis.
- Oregon’s Business Energy Tax Credit - The State of Oregon offers a tax credit of 35% of program costs to employers reducing the vehicle miles traveled by their employees. Together with the CMAQ subsidy, your business can receive the U-Pass at a 78% discount off an already low price.
- Employee Transportation Analysis - RVTD will survey your employees on their bus ridership and their other transportation needs. This can help a business assess the value of the U-Pass Program and address further employee transportation needs.
