COACH OPERATOR

REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of bus driving experience. CDL class B driver license with passenger and air brake endorsement. DOT medical card. Background check including drug testing, DMV report. Physical exam after offer of hire. Union membership.
JOB DUTIES:
-Operate a public transit vehicle. Interact with the public throughout the shift.
-Transport passengers over specified routes in Medford and Ashland. Meet the time schedules of the routes. -Follow rules and regulations.
-Handle baggage, operate wheelchair lifts, use a 2-way radio.
-Complete safety reports, incident reports.
-Wear a pager. Respond to pages 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
DAYS & HOURS:
This is on call work and hours may vary from 0 to 40 hours of straight time. You must be available for all shifts with short notice. There is no guarantee of days off. You may be required to work overtime daily and/or weekly. All operators are hired as extra board operators and move into operator positions by seniority as they become available.
WAGE:
$8.80 to $16.71 per hour
Benefits become available at 80 hours of work per month
