All RVTD buses can accommodate three (3) bicycles per bus on the exterior racks. During non-peak ridership times it is up to the discretion of each driver to allow, or not, bikes to be loaded onto the interior of his or her bus.
No, RVTD drivers neither carry change nor provide it at the fare box. If paying cash, please have correct change when boarding the bus.

There is no eating allowed on RVTD buses. All food must be in sealed containers.

RVTD observes the following holidays and will not be running on:
- New Year’s Day (January 1st)
- Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day (First Monday in September)
- Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
- Christmas Day (December 25th)
Gas-powered/electric-powered bicycles are prohibited on any RVTD bus or bike rack.
Detours are sometimes unavoidable due to city/county/state upgrades and other changes and improvements to transportation infrastructure. RVTD devises the most efficient ways around construction projects and notifies the public on its website, on social media and on Rider Alerts posted in buses of the detour route and duration and if any bus stops must be bypassed and where their replacements will be located.
Credit cards cannot be used on the bus, however you can use a credit card to purchase prepaid fare products at Front Street Station, the RVTD Main Office, or the Ashland Utility office.
TransLink transportation services are provided as a covered Medicaid benefit with no cost to you when you are an eligible member. Transportation is provided to and from a covered Medicaid medical service such as:
- Primary Care Visits
- Specialist Office Visits
- Physical Therapy
- Dental Care Visits
- Mental Health and Behavioral Health Appointments and Services
- Dialysis
- Pharmacy
To qualify for transportation through TransLink, you must be elgible and enrolled with either a Coordinated Care Organization TransLink serves or with the Oregon Health Authority as a fee-for-service client living in one of the 7 counties TransLink serves. Transportation services are intended to help you when you have no other transportation options available to you such as a family member or friend.
TransLink will arrange the appropriate transportation option that meets your individual needs. Transportation options available are:
- Bus passes or tickets
- Reimbursement
- Wheelchair lift
- Sedan
- Stretcher (when lying down is medically necessary)
- Secure Transport
- Common Carrier (Airplane, Train or Bus)

- Appointment date and time
- Name and telephone number of the medical professional the appointment is with
- Purpose of the appointment
- Any mobility devices (wheelchair, walker, cane) being used during transport
- If the person traveling is traveling with a service animal or another person such as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
