Nearly two years ago, RVTD Launched the TouchPass fare payment system. RVTD was the first agency to use TouchPass, and while we were confident the system would perform, there was uncertainty to what extent RVTD passengers would embrace the new fare payment system. As of March 2018, over 60% of RVTD fare transactions are occurring on the TouchPass system. The high adoption rate can be attributed to a significant increase in mobile app transactions. More and more passengers are discovering the added convenience of using their phones to buy, store, and use RVTD fare products.
