Project Purpose: The Southern Oregon I-5 Transit Corridor Study will evaluate the need and potential demand for regularly scheduled public transit service connecting communities along the I- 5 corridor in Josephine, Jackson, and Douglas counties. Working with local transit providers, the study will assess current travel patterns, transit needs, and opportunities to improve connections between Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, and surrounding communities. The project will engage community members, transit riders, stakeholders, and partner agencies to identify unmet transportation needs and gather input on future service options. The study will also examine potential operating models, funding strategies, and coordination opportunities among transit providers to improve regional mobility. Findings will be used to develop recommendations for future investments and implementation, with the goal of improving access to jobs, education, healthcare, and other essential destinations throughout Southern Oregon.
